No two gardens are alike, they vary in size, location, aspect and most of all, the elements that go to make up the whole. Often it is the incidental detail that makes the garden, as it does a room inside. Here we show four very different photographs to make the point...

Sculpture or fence, or both?
Recognise this? We cannot claim credit for the original design, but we did have the idea for this application, and we made it.
We are able to design and fabricate our own metal and wrought iron work, be it gates, railings or any special features for those who want something unique in their garden. In this instance the Tyne Bridge was the inspiration.

Playhouse
Apart from the mature trees we designed and built this garden in Gosforth, including the playhouse which you won’t find in any catalogue. The photos were taken after one year.
Inside this two storey playhouse is a ladder giving access to the first floor, from which various activities are available. It is the focus of delight for the young family, and is conveniently sited close to the house, but not intrusively so. It was part of a comprehensive garden re-design and renovation.

Learning in the Landscape
A sculpture on the wall of a Co Durham Primary School showing the many uses of wood. We have provided many other features in the playground/playgarden.
School playgrounds are also vital learning areas, and the many uses of timber are shown in this 3D mural. It was part of an ongoing playground enhancement project that already boasts a garden, willow tunnel, chess/draughts board from bricks sculpted by the children, and other imaginative play features.

Special Needs
Part of the tranquil garden we designed and built at Dunston Hospital
This enclosed garden embraces a range of hard and soft materials to provide a gentle and peaceful design, supplemented by the calming sound of running water. Wide paths ensure easy access for the infirm, and lighting and careful selection of plants provides all year round access and interest.
